With a bow, alot of my setup's don't present shots over 30 yards or so, which I'm real comfortable shooting through experience and practice. My longest was about 20-25 yards with the bow. With a gun in the swamps of the UP of Michigan, I've shot one buck at 50 and another around 60-65, but with most of my gun deer I could've just used a bow as most of my victims have been between 15 and 30 yards. If I were to start gun hunting with longer shots in more open areas, I would practice a whole lot more, as I don't have the any previous hunting experience with "long" shots.
