Mayguy - I would be very interested if you performed the following test:

1. Starting with a clean Omega barrel, pop off 5 (or 10) Kleenbore primers with NO powder or projectile in your basement or garage. After the last one, take off the barrel, remove the plug, and inspect the barrel for fouling. Note the results...a picture like the Remington folks put on the Kleanbore package would be awesome.

2. Clean the barrel.

3. Perform step 1 with the Vari-Flames loaded with the CCI Mag Small Rifle primers.

I'm hearing a lot about the Vari-Flame concept and am considering it, but just need to hear a few more positive reports by the average Joe (not some muzzleloading site that the Vari-Flame folks sponsor) before taking the plunge.
