Default RE: The Rage - Broadheads

Chip,
The "Rage" broadheads are the creation of the Rocky Mountain / Barrie Archery guys. They have sold their main line of broadheads to Field Logic, and are now producing these select heads in their place under the Rage name.

Without even seeing one I can tell you 2 certainties about them knowing who is making them. 1) They'll be scary sharp. 2) They will work well with minimal energy used or wasted despite their large cutting diameters.

They are based upon the basic "Snyper" design which uses a rearward opening blade system that requires very minimal energy to deploy. They have larger cutting diameters than their Snyper cousins.
The 3 blade one is getting aserious look from me.

How they compare to Grim Reapers? I have no first hand experience with the Reapers but do with the basic design......I can guarantee the Rage heads will open easier and quicker on game. Beyond that is conjecture.

In any event the Rage head are exactly what many people were asking for from Rocky Mt for a couple years now........since the Snyper uses so little additional energy to work properly why not extend the cutting diameter a bit to make them even deadlier. If I didn't already have a bunch of the Snyper XP3's I'd pick up the 3 blade Rage version to try for sure. (I might still)
