I think it depends on where you live. I have a mule deer season on my land and have yet to shoot one.I have nothing that attracts them to my land. Where as I have lots of whitetail and tag out every year, and can be pickey about it. My buddy owns land about 10 miles down the road and he sees noting but Mullies. He cant get in range of a whitetail, but tags out on Mullies every year. So I think the answer to your question is relative to where you hunt.
