Yes they are great for stuffing sausage casings, get one with a 22 mil. front lens and take the glass out, the back will just screw off and Go for it LOL Sorry I just had to do that, no I never heard of them and I have heard of most, I bought a scope 30 years ago fron Guns Unlimited in Omaha NE. that was named Universal, at that time I had never heard of them either but I still have it an a 22 and it turned out to be a good scope. So for all that it is worth if its cheap enough and it seems clear to you, What the Heck give it a try.
