Personally I think the whole "cheapest price" is boosheut and in the end NOT the best thing for the economy. Look at what the American consumer has done too themselves in the last 20 years since the push for a "global economy" and importing cheap goods etc... All it has done is encourage excessive spending by people who probably shouldn't have bought half the crap they have in the first place. Everyone is clamoring about the widening gap between the upperclass and the lowerclass, the middleclass is loosing ground. Well WHY? Because the middleclass has cheapened themselves out of a job by buying cheap Chinese crap peddled by Wal-Mart and most other mass marketers. They have done the same thing with their automobiles. For the last 15 years the best selling cars have been the Toyota Camry and the Honda Accord. Look at what that marketshare loss has done too GM and Ford!!! It hasn't made them make cars any better, it has just put them behind the 8ball because they have the restrictive environmental regulations, corporate taxation and union/retired worker expenses that are NOT issues that foreign makers are suffocated with.
If $50-$100 on a $500 gun makes that much difference too you (ESPECIALLY if it means you can or can't buy it) then should you really have that gun to begin with? Is it really so important that you go in a store with $100 and come out with a basketfull of cheap crap or a single bag worth of quality items that might last longer and actually employee your fellow Americans?
I was just raised differently I guess. I DO care about my childrens future, I DO want them to have the opportunity at gainful employment for a company started, grown and owned locally or at least AMERICAN OWNED. But obviously to many peoples concern ends at the tip of their nose and outside of their back pockets. Everyone wants to banter about and yell at the Mexicans, the Chinese, the Japs the south americans everyone but the truly guilty... THEMSELVES!!!
If you lost a good paying, middle America manufacturing job within the last 20 years and have had a rough go of it eversince. Or if you have to work 2 measily jobs and rush home to keep the kids while your wife works a similar measily job 3rd shift then do yourself a favor. The person to blame is in your bathroom. Go right now, turn on the light and look in the mirror. Look around, how many of the towels, the toilet paper, the toothbrushes, the hairdryer, the mirror on the wall etc... how much of that has "Made in China" on it and how much of it did YOU buy from the mass merchandisers???
Just like our grandparents used to tell us, "Son you can have that ......... some day, if you mind your Ps and Qs, take care of your business and do the right thing. Someday it WILL be yours".
But ever the impatient lot, sadly our country is to caught up in the GIMME NOW I DESERVE IT ALL RIGHT NOW mentality we just gotta have it ALL and RIGHT NOW. NOTHING is free...
