Default RE: Need Help-New Bow Questions

The Evolution XTR has a magnesium riser, not a 6061 machined like the Splitfire XTR and Splitfire 36. It also has the Mach one (standard) solo cam instead of a perimeter cam. It has the same Carbon-quad straight limbs, offers 65% let-off but only offers a 6.75" brace height as opposed to 8+ on the Splitfire series.

IMHO you get what you pay for, I for one do not care for any split limb in combination with a solocam except for Hoyt 3/4 limbs as cam lean is usually a factor you'll eventually have to contend with. (To each their own on that one) Speed alone doesn't make the bow, the materials, craftsmanship, tolerances, and overall time invested in the design and fit and finish, along with the geometry and handling characteristics designed into it is what makes a bow. Unfortunately, to do all of these aforementioned things, it usually costs more, and is why you'll see higher price tags on certain models with many more attributes, whether they can be readily seen or not. Good shooting, Pinwheel 12
