The 7mm is good but I'd never recommend it for big bears or AK moose while the old .30-'06 works well for both.
I have got to laugh at this statement at least as far as the moose is concerned. I wouldn't
recommend either for brown bear, but many use them effectively, but to say the 7mm Rem mag is less of a moose killer than the 30-06 is absurd.
What Mr. Smith can do with one Mr. Jones can do with the other.
Just flip a coin and buy one. The dead deer, elk, moose, sheep, bear, what ever... will never know the difference
