RE: NORTH AMERICAN HUNTING CLUB QUESTION
I am a life member and have enjoyed the subscription. I too was an off & on member for many years. And yes, they did send stuff (and I actually ordered some stuff), but it is no were near as bad as, say, the NRA. If/when they send you something, you have no obligation to 1) pay for it or 2) return it. The life membership wasn't too bad of a deal - got some nice stuff ($100 gun case, compact cleaning kit, and other things). I like the magazine - no it isn't a bow mag (not supposed to be), it is a hunting mag for NA and they do well at that - they give a lot of current issue topics across the country and have some good hunting articles.
As for the give away and field test perks, I have tested a couple things, but never won anything. I tested a small lantern-type light, some hand wash, and just got a larger battery operated lantern (pretty nice unit). You get to keep any tested products. I also got a survey over the winter and it looked as if I may get to test a Matthews or other type of bow. I got excited, but never got anything - oh well.
