As stated the straw bails suck!! If you get a high density foam target they are pretty cheap. I use a straight razor and scrape off the old fletch, but you have to be careful and scrape it with the sharp edge of the blade faceing away from the direction of the way yur scraping. A greyling fletcher is less then $30.00 and does a great job. They last for ever and pay for themself. Practice with it and you will fletch like a pro in no time. The only point I can give a new arrow builder is don't use too much glue. It seems like every one who starts wants to use a tone of glue on their fletchings.
