Oh yes. That is a new hybred model of whitetail deer. It is designed for deer farmers. The pictured deer is an early experimental model. Alot of development has been made since that early model.

You see (or should I say you can plainly see from the pic?) it is designed so that you may harvest meat from the deer without actually having to kill it.

The roasts grow on the outside of the body cavity for aging and ease of harvest. Corral them in, harvest the roasts, then put them back to pasture to grow some more meat. The current models are producing pre-marinaded roasts!

It has been found that a typical, good size deer will produce approximately 60-75 pounds of meat - one time if killed. The new hybreds are currently producing approximately 1,200 - 1,500 pounds of meat in an average lifetime.
