40 lb is plenty but, she dosen't have the ke to use machanical heads. She should be using a cut on impack head some thing like a stealforce single blade. I have known of three bowhunter two young boys and one woman that have taken lots deer with 35 lb compound and have not lost any deer. You got remimber there are lot of bowhunter out there hunting with 40 lb recurves and long bows most are not getting the ke of a 35 lb compound. Also she has got to make a good shot
