RE: crappie
I just checked out a bunch of 3 pound crappie on line. Most were all 16 inches. Back in my poor days I only had a cheap spring Zebco blue scales. I bet alot of my ok fish were actually great fish. I had one fat crappie which was 16 inches.Zebco said 2 pounds.
I caught a fat bass full of eggs at 25 inches. Zebco said 7 pounds.
Guess what. I threw Zebco in the trash. My best scale I've found is th e9.99 cent Rapala spring scale at Walmart. My wife sends alot of packages to th epost office..and my scale is exactly like her better post office scales. I have the 40.00 electronic scale by Rapala. DON'T waste your money .Most of the time does not work.
