RE: Hunting Chuckars in PA
I've hunted a local shooting preserve a few times and had a conversation our dog handler.I ask if the Pheasants and chukars will survive if no one shoots them. The handler said that they usually recapture most of the pheasants. In a few days, the pheasants will be back and walk around the outside of thepens. They go and catch them at nite and put them back in the pen.But he said that the chukars usually die in the wild. He said they eat something and it kills them. He thought it was earthworms or something.
I don't know how true that is, but that's what he said. You might want to check this out before you go releasing a bunch of chukars
