The Equalizer uses the small cams. Were the large cams installed, speed would be lost. The Equalizer, all things being equal (no pun intended ), will be a bit faster. However, you may want to shoot both bows with a heavy arrow. I'm not sure if the Equalizer will retain speed with heavy arrows as well. Though it might. Just something to consider. The equalizer is also lighter, mass weight. That may be more to your liking. I've shot both bows, and like both very well. I got an Allegiance due to my stinkin' draw length being too long for the Eq. [:@]My son will be shooting a custom blue Equalizer this summer. Watch out for the little blonde kid looking to take $4Xs.
