What is your opinion on this cartridge and its future?
IMO it offers very little over the 280 Remington and very little over the 7 MM Rem Mag.
I mean as a practical hunting cartridge.
HUH? I would do a little more looking cause its a big gap from the 280 and 7 mag to the 7 rum.
Not for the kind of girls I go out with.
If I was a guy that sat at a bench on the deck of the house and shot at deer over on the far end of the "bean field" and I had the laser rangefinder and the ballistics charts and the target knobs on the 6.5-20 Leupold then maybe the 7MM RUM is an advantage.
However I'm not that type of hunter as muxh as the idea appeals to me.
There may be extra velocity but it has to be usable and it's just flat out NOT!!!!!
