True... It's due to the overall thickness of the blades on the Slick Tricks. That's why it seemsthey don't slice your finger to ribbons.

What I have done (to the 100gr blades that Oldhootowl sent me) is run them carefully on a wetstone and held tight by a someneedlenose pliers. Then in the same needlenose pliers, I buffed them with a dremel and the tiny buffing wheel. These 100gr Slick Tricks that I have are now wickedly sharp! Run your finger down these blades, and you WILL get cut.... [&:]

The most deadliest, most nastiest, most evil, broadhead that I have seen to date is the Magnus Stinger. You mentioned the Thunderhead and running your finger down it will get you bleeding badly. You run your finger down a Magnus Stinger and you're missing a finger!!!! [&:][]
