I am very familiar with the company and know Bill Powers, the guy who invented the board used in the camera. Trust me on this one, or look at their site, they use the Sony DSC-P41 4.1 megalpixel camera in the DS-04 model.

I agree with you that's a lot of monet to put out in the woods. At one point I owned six of them, but now only have two. As I posted earier, I switched to the Trail Ghost P41LE, which is the same camera the Penn's Woods uses. I sent Penn's Woods an email requesting the info on the 6.0. You may want to look at the Trail Ghost cameras, for less than $100.00 you move from a 2.0 to the 4.1 model. www.trailghost.com
