RE: May give up on Digital Game Cameras
The last camera I bought to test was the Moultrie 200 and it is really frustrating me. I've had it out four weeks and have not yet had it take 10 pictures.
When I put it out it takes pictures of me and when I've picked it up two weeks later there has only been a couple more pictures.
When I tested it for power-up time I really had to coax it to take my picture. Maybe the deer aren't working as hard at it as I was. I know they are there, the other cameras are getting them.
I can' t get it to take enough pictures to do a write up on the picture quality.
Also, I've purchased the 12 volt rechargeable battery for the Stealth Cam and so far I get about 5 days out of it.
Similar to what others have said above, digital scouting cameras with real digital cameras in them do great with 9 volt and rechargeable AA batteries. These cameras just keep chugging along.
