Last night while hunting I heard a noice that made me about wet myself. At dark I heard the loudest noise I have ever heard in the woods. It sounded like a huge hog snorting. Much louder than any deer I have ever heard. Came from behind me where I never see deer. Occurred twice but I never seen anything. I snorted relunctantly back at what ever was, maybe a good thing I never found out.

Any thoghts about what I heard. I am pretty sure that it was no deer, much too loud but diffinitly an animal. I was hunting in central Iowa, no hogs around that I know of.

I have heard a buck snort before, LOUD AS HECK!! the thing must have been 30 yards from me and it scared the crap out of me. Sometimes deer will do that to make you move or jump if they think you're there.
