Once you learn how, the loop is really a piece of cake to tie in, move, etc etc. You really should look at a picture of the knot and practice it a few times. They really don't take rocket sceintist to tie. NOR do they have to be tied in with anything other than themsleves. They won't go anywhere if done correctly and you melt the ends.
