i have 1 on my hoyt pro-tec the big difference between the 2 is the quad you can COCK the holder up
so the arrow is contained the whole time until you shoot. i do beleive the ripcord has the arrow laying on the SHELF until you draw the bow back. just my 2cents good luck and have FUN shooting you're BOW&ARROW

You can cock the RipCord and contain the arrow but you CANNOT let down the RipCord without the rest falling.
With the QAD, you can let down and they arm will remain in the raised position.
