I am so pissed off nowI CAN'T STAND IT. This is the second year straight that I didn't get drawn for spring gobbler. They up the quota to 300 birds and that was double from last year and I still didn't get drawn. I hope this is no indication of how my other draws go. Intresting thing about it is, I've got them around my kabin here and the dang things actually wake me up at times. Boy, talk about being tempted. Another thing that pisses me off is people who apply for quota hunts and don't go. I know of 3 incidences of people who apply and when the season comes, they don't go for one reason or another. SCUMB BAG. I get right in their face and letthem know that they are deneying people like me the oppurtunity to hunt. Thats just not right, maybe the fish and game should take this in concideration and possibly increase the quota in some areas.
I guess I'll stay locked up in this kabin during spring gobbler and just pout.[:@][:@][:@]

Totally understand your feelings. But trouble is, maybe when they got the tags they had every intention of using the tag. But, emergencies do happen to all of us, and things that turn out to be more important do over ride turkey hunting I am sure, it has happened to myself, though we dont have to draw for tags in NY. But there have been several times, I had to cancel going with someone, or missed hunting because of important matters or death or emergency. So dont think it is fair to get in their face as you say and tear into them.

That being said, if they got it thinking they might or maybe would then yes, should not apply. Do you have the point system like other states, where you get a point or so each time you apply and then they build up to a level you get a preference or something like that? Maybe that is why they do it, not intending to get the tag, but getting into the point system.

Then maybe the Fish and Game should look in to a method of transferring the tag, or returning it and re-drawing in times where folks cant make it out to hunt.[8D]
