I purchased my Excursion in March 04. The main reason I purchased this bow was the 8 3/8 brace height. You don't have to worry about the bow string hitting your bow arm. I still use an arm guard more out of habit than necessity. I use a Trap Door rest and a Trophy Ridge Matrix sight. I think it draws smoothly. I'm no expert in this area. But I like this bow. It is short but good in a tree stand. I shoot Easton Gamegetter II 2315 arrows. It is a good bow for the money.
