Default 150gr for .270?

I want to try the new Winchester XP's this coming deer season in my .270win. As of right now, they only come in 150gr.
I've never shot 150gr. out of my rifle, only 130gr. and a few 140gr's. So, I have no experience with them. I know that every load and rifle is going to shoot different. I know that. But my question is what are some of your opinions of a 150gr bullet in a .270win?
Most of my shots are 15-50 yards. But, I do hunt this one place where a 100-150 yard is the norm. I like knowing excatly where my bullet is going to hit at every distance. I don't like playing the guessing game with "shoot a little high if hes X distance" Or "shoot a little low if he's Y distance". With 130gr Winchester Ballistic tips out to 200 yards I didn't have to worry about aiming high or low because they shot so flat, but I changed bullets.
I know what the charts say, but in real shooting, would there be much of a drop out to 200 yards ?
