Default RE: Standing or Sitting??

I always point my stand toward the most likely shooting lane. If they're coming through it, I'm more than content to stay seated for the shot.

Since I'm right-handed, a seated shot to my hard right is near impossible, so I stand if it looks like that's where the shot will be going, same goes for behind the stand.

I practice a lot from the seated and awkwardly bent and twisted positions, and I've taken a couple of my best bucks from the friendly confines of my snowy white bum.

If you like to shoot sitting down, it's all about stand placement and knowing your deer movement patterns. I used to have an old treestand that creaked when you shifted your weight toward the end, so if I could shoot from the seat, I did. I'vealso been busted a time-or-twotrying to stand up, too.Don't get me wrong, I'll shoot sitting, standing, twisting, bending, or dangling from my safety belt if I have to, but in a perfect world, I'll take that 18 yard broadside shot at a slight left angle from the warm confines of my Summit's seat.
