What does that mean? You guys have exceeded my intelligence. Now I am confused. What is sight picture.
It means you've got some reading and some trying out different methods to do
A sight picture is fairly hard to explain, but it's a simple concept... Basically, you're brain recognizes what 10yds, 12 yds, 18 yds, etc looks like and you subconscienceously make adjustments while coming to anchor for whatever distance you are shooting.... It comes with practice....
Split vision is fairly similar, but you also keep in mind where the arrow is in relation to the target... All the while concentrating on the spot....
For instance, from 0-20, I never think about the arrow at all.... I just pull back and shoot when it feels good... When I start getting out to 25+, I then start paying more attention to my arrow..... At 40yds, I know my arrow will be dead center of the target, at 30yds, it will be 6-8 inches below and so on.....
Just get out there and practice everyday and this mumbo jumbo will start making sense..... Don't be scared to try new techniques.... For instance, I absolutely can not anchor in my mouth... I can't understand how anyone could... BUT, my face and build is apparantly different that a lot of others... Go with what works......
