Default correct arrow and weight

I am very new to this and need some help. I am shooting a PSE Beast at 27" draw and about 52# the shop that I bought the bow from sold me 6 Easton excel 500 7.7 carbon arrows and told me to use 125 grain tips. These seem to do fine and my grouping is so tight I have hit and damaged other arrows at 18 yrds. But the problem starts after this, if I add only 5 yards to this I have to use the lower pin which is about a 1/4 in. lower. To add to this 125 gr. broadheads will not fly at all. According to a friend that has an Easton chart, he tells me I should have an arrow and tip that has a lot lower total weight. If someone can help it is greatly appreciated.
THANK YOU in advance,
MIKE
