They do jump fences, but usually try to avoid it. I personally have never seen an animal that can run as fast as an antelope or have a keener eyesight.

What he said. They leave trails along fences and I have seen them run a long distance along a fenceline to a clear point they can crawl under. I have scared herds of 40+ to a fence and watched them wait in a crowd as one or two at a timego under at a certain point.
This makes hunters think that they never jump them, but they will do it. It is still mysterious to me that they go to such length to avoid jumping.
