The .280 , and other cartriges like the .264 Winchester are really excellent examples of why there really was little need to create a new .270WSM or .25WSM etc...
You are comparing the 280rem to the 264win mag?Do you know that a 280rem is merely the 30-06 case necked down to .284"?It is even less overbore than a 270win.It is by no means comparable to the 264winmag,270wsm or .25wssm.
