Winchester Announces Shotshell Recall
Winchester is recalling one lot of its Super-X Drylok Super Steel 12 gauge, 3-inch, 1 3/8-ounce No. 2 steel shotshell ammunition.
Winchester has determined that the above lot of ammunition might contain incorrect propellant. This could cause firearm damage, rendering the firearm inoperable and subject the shooter or bystanders to a risk of personal injury when fired.
Winchester is advising consumers not to use its Super-X Drylok Super Steel 12 gauge 1-3/8-ounce No. 2 steel shotshell with lot No. 49X3SG29. The lot number is printed on the top tuck flap of the 25-round box.
If your ammunition is subject to this recall, return it to Winchester via the United Parcel Service. Securely pack the ammunition into a corrugated cardboard box, write “CARTRIDGES, SMALL ARMS ORM-D”on the outside and ship to: Olin Corporation--Winchester Division, Attention: 12 Gauge Recall, Tile Warehouse, Powder Mill Road, Gate 4A, East Alton, IL 62024.
Winchester will then send you coupons good for replacement ammunition from your local Winchester dealer.
