Right there with ya. Out here in the central coast of Cali, I have had in the past pigs that were covered in ticks so bad, at first I thought how in the hell did this pig live. I was curious though, and I lost count after a 120 or so ticks. thankfully, tick season has not been as bad the past 2-3 years, but I know that claim will come back and kick me in the butt!!!!!![8D]

Are you hammering those Montery wild pigs??? I nailed six last year and 1 this year up in Tehama County north of your location. If my wife saw what I saw in the field, she wouldn't be eating the meat I bring home. When she sits there and says, "mmmmm...this tastes great". I always just roll my eyes and say to myself...if you only knew. On a positive note, once you eat wild pig meat it will be very hard for you to enjoy any sausage from a restaurant. The meat really is great.

I have taken most of my pigs around and on my property, but this year I still yet to fill my pig tag. Weather has been not so great lately, so hopefully I will get out there sometime.
