I don't think the 338 is in question here, especially if this person has a Boss on it. But, you definitely get what you pay for with a scope and I hate to say this, Tasco's higher end "Titan" scopes are great value and stand up to a beating. A guy in camp has a 3-12X50 Titan on his 300WinMag for over 4 years now and has had zero problems with it and wouldn't think of trading it for anything. Still not a Tasco fan but my 2 cents anyway.
