I will give a hearty Here Here and a Huzzah to the comraderie on this site.
I spent 24 years in the military none of which was anywhere close to home. I thought my bow hunting days were over till I found out I could use a Crossbow here in Ohio.
My right shoulder just wont take the repetition of shooting a regular bow anymore, at least not enough to stay in practice where I would be confident of a clean kill with a bow. My conscience wont let me hunt in a method where harvesting game may not be to the level it should, so a Horizontal Bow is just the ticket for me even though I am not considered handicapped. Just that type of repetitive motion does me in.
I feel sorry for folks like myself in other states where you either cant use a CB or have to have a handicapped license to do so, and I think it is ridiculous.
Our biggest challenge is education for folks that think a Crossbow means we can kill out to 100 yards+ and all that nonsense, and our best group of allies lies right here. God Bless all and keep spreading the word.
