I know I have suggested before that the Federal FliteControls are best without ports, but I will admit I am basing this on the opinion of a friend, so you could argue that it is a "he said she said" kinda situation.
It seems logical that they would do best without ports, but then again the 835 comes standard with ports so who the heck knows...
If you have a good pattern with a ported choke then get out there and kill with it...only way you will know for sure
