Forexample, the Special Forces folks have just let a contract for a bunch of new M1911A1 type pistols, to be built by one of the small firms that produces fighting handguns.....
That may be so for some Special Forces, but certainly not all. Alot of the SpecOps, my Son-in-Law included (U.S.Navy SEAL), are carrying Sig 226's in 9mm. He swears the 9 is very effective and chooses to carry the same for his CCW. Having worked as a LEO for many years, I tend to agree that the .357 is still the best stopper out there, but I can sure shoot the 9mm alot faster and with greater accuracy. Just my $.02
