RE: SOUTH CAROLINA HUNTERS
I don't have to explain myself but I will.
I've been turkey hunting towards a decade now. My dad has never killed a turkey. I was hoping for me and him to spend some time together at a private lodge and hopefully, me get him his first bird. Lord willing, us both take a bird or two. I want to make a memory or two. It would give me one extra weekend to turkey hunt, my favorite thing in the world to do.
It's ironic you started this whole thing because I took a co-worker from Rock Hill, SC who lives there now, last year on the 2nd day of season to my honey hole and called in his first turkey and watched him shoot it. A day after I DIDNT CARRY A GUN ON OPENING DAY and called another first bird in for a different friend and watched him shoot his first turkey.
Less than a week later I had some guy show up before daylight at a place I heard 10 different birds gobbling pre-season. He said he worked with the lady whos land we were on and she said he could hunt as well. He knew he may run into me. He told me he had never killed a turkey but he was hoping this was his lucky morning. I told him good luck. I never went back all season. I let him have the place to himself. I hope he killed a couple and got to have the thrill that I've had on a few occasions.
Your not talking to me. Your talking to hunters with no ethics, with no sense of woodsmanship, or respect for others. Your talking to a few guys who to you have obviously given NC hunters a bad name.
You show me some respect and I'll show you some. You dont gain respect by telling me to keep my ass in North Carolina. I'd tell you good luck if you were pumped for a hunting trip to NC, not jump on you.
I know this is just a message board and its easy to hide behind a screename but you only get one chance to make a first impression and I don't know many guys who could think too much of your comments especially directed at me, who wanted nothing to do with all this mess. I asked about a liscense...
