I concure with Roskoe. THe SPS is just as well built as any 700 out there. What you don't get with the SPS is all the bells and whistles that other 700's may come with. Like polished blueing, HS precision made stocks, jeweled bolt bodies, etc... It's the same rifle as the old ADL but with a hinged floor plate and "fancier" synthetic stock.

I also agree with the comments about the detachable mags. I don't like to have any of them. It's just something else to keep up with and they are waaaaaaaaay too easy to leave laying back at the truck, home, or camp for you to discover that you don't have it only after you have arrived at your hunting destination or 500 verticle feet above your camp. A blind magazine or hinged floor plate is never away from its gun and you can never leave one behind.
