I've thought of the same type of stand cause some places i hunt are blow downs or sometimes a tree just ain;t big enuff to put a stand in, and in some other areas the tree dictates my location, in which I have to settle for sometimes, so I can see an advantage in that type set up, but the ones I've seen in Cabelas and BP are more than a 100 #'s so a couple trips would be required to get it back into the bush.
