RE: Opinions about the Strut Seat
The strut seat works ok.
Cons- can be difficult on uneven ground, in wet weather I have had the legs sink into the moist groundand tilting me off the seat, hangs over your head/shoulder and slides around when bending over and going through brush etc, very unnatural hollow tubenoise if it hits a tree on your way by, still need a good pad on top after many hours/days of hunting
Pros - keeps you off the wet ground, light for its size, the "two way" leg sizes can make up for slanted ground
Where I hunt there's not much for big trees so I opted for a Wedge Supreme hunting seat because it is self-supporting meaning I don't have to lean against a tree. That part is heaven. On top of that, the pad is really thick making it quite comfy on theold backside. However, that thing is so darn bulky I'm back in the market for yet another solution. So far I'm considering the Little Big HornGobblers Vest and the Niff-T-Seat.
