RE: Gold Tip Weight Results
I just got my new 3-inch low profile SS vanes from VaneTec tonight. Just finished building my first set of Gold Tip Ultra Light Pro 300 arrows. I know this is probably ridiculous to some of you, but I took it as a small goal to get weight of all 12 arrows as close as possible. Listed below is the total weight of my 12 arrows.

As you can see there is only a .7 of a grain spread for the entire completed dozen. I would have been happy if they were all within 2 grains of each other, so I exceeded my expectation. What really helped me out in the end was weighing all tips and placing them in order from lightest to heaviest. I then did the same with the fletched arrow shafts and installed the heaviest tips to the lightest shafts and visa versa. After the glue dries on vanes, I look forward to shooting them. I’m guessing these babies will be flying out of my bow at 295 fps. I’ll have to run them through the chronograph in a few days to get the exact numbers.
