Ihave F/S a new, never fired 26" Stainless Steel, fluted, heavybull barrel.
The barrel was taken offmy Savage 12FVSS in .223.
The barrel was removed by a gunsmith quite safely and professionally.
The only thing that's been done to this barrel is the gunsmith buffed up the outside of the barrel so it is nice and shiny and purty.
The barrel was made in 2005 and it fits current savage actions in .223.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this barrel, as I stated before this barrel has not had a bullet go through it.
The only reason whyI took it off was to put on a custom barrel from my gunsmith.
A lot of people have had very good out of the box accuarcy with savage rifles and these factory barrels are a big part of it.
