Default RE: Thanks gibblet for advice on string wax

ORIGINAL: Greg / MO

I had 3M 100% silicone spray on my tool box at the house,
Hmmm.... that's got me thinking; I might have to put in a sample request the next time I work with my 3M rep!

My mistake guys, I went home and checked out the silicone spray lubricant and it is made by Loctite PN# 81246, not 3M. I have all kinds of 3M products on and in my tool box, so I assumed wrong.

Newman1,
I’m not sure where I got it, I have products on my tool box thatI have used in the aerospace industry for years. They are supplied to us from work. It works great as a mold release for igniter bosses on jet engines. When I heard somebody say silicone spray I wanted to try this product out since I knew it was silicone. Anyway, it looks like you can order it online. Listed below is a link for all the details in the product I’m using.
