was there no way to finish the buck when you found him?

not wanting to start anything but i don't think i could leave a deer overnight knowing he was hit hard. my brain would tell me it was wrong to leave him suffering when i had a chance to finish him.

i'm just wondering? don't want to start anything. it's just a question.
