Well I've only killed one elk so far, but it was with my .50cal Knight.

Eventually I would like totake my .300Wby that was my stepfathers elk rifle (he passed away lastyear). But being a Mk V Deluxe I would be picky with it and "baby it". Later this summer I plan on getting a new Rem Mdl 7 CDL in .300WSM so THAT would be my pick for an elk rifle (lol to REALLY throw you off now, if I lived out west and chased them all season I would probably buy a .325WSM!).

This "Gila monster" that I was fortunate enough to take was only 30yds away. Even with a .50cal ML I felt "undergunned"!!!
