Regardless if Ted Nugent hunts within high fenced areas, is his bussines. The fact of the matter remains, no one"ONHERE"knows for surehow good of a hunter Ted Nugentis or was, prior to his "penned in" hunts that we all see on television.Nor do we knowwhat ethics hehas been taught in the past.
Did anyone on this forumhunt with Ted Nugentbefore The Spirit of The Wild came to television?
I dont really sit around and worry about what Ted Nugent does.
I worry about how I will be hunting.
I know that I personally will never be able to hunt in the way thatTed Nugenthunts.
I personally have to go out on 500 acres of some private land and try tofigure out wherethe four deerare that are out there; and then try to figure out when and"IF" they will come by my stand set up.
I try to work the land very hardthat I have beengiven to hunt. I have never had deer crawling all around my stand, (and maybe never will). But I will strive to do the best that I can.
(The best that any hunter can do is to try his best and apply the knowledge he knows alreadyand then try to gain even more knowledge by spending as much time in the woods as he can)
As far as judging Ted Nugent, I cant, I have never hunted with him. I have never seen his hunting teqniques (in person). I have never seen how he would apply himself in a situation if he had only four deer around in a 500 acre area. And I don't knowwhat methods hewoulduse tofind them. I dont know how many teqniques he has, or if he has any at all.
But untill the day I have exact proof of how he would handle himself in a "normal" hunting situation, then I can't say anything about him.
My dream is tocontinue in mybiologist feildand raise deer. (I will never have the funds to raise deer). But If I won the lottery tommorow, you better believe that I would grab some highfence and start raising deer as soon as I could.
If I did this , would it all the sudden make me a bad hunter? Even after all the hard work I put into the feild prior to that?
Would it be fair if people started driving by my property and automatically assuming that (I was the guy that won the lottery and didn't know the first thing there was to know about hunting)?
I wasn't there when the ethics were taught to Ted Nugent. I wasn't there hunting with him before he had his "little haven" of wildlife. I dont know how hard he hunted in his prior experiences.
Untill I know for sure how hard he hunted before this,I can't judge him or anyone.
Would you be mad if you hunted hard as hell for 25 or so years and then all the sudden you gained the funds to raise your own wildlife and people started calling you a bad hunter? Especially if you knew you worked hard at hunting and were very good at it.
I guess you would really be the only one that could defend yourself, because only you would know how hard you worked at hunting prior to that point.
