I bought a encore this past spring I wanted one with a 7mm rem. mag barrel but my gunsmith couldn't find a 7mm so I settled for a 300 winmag. I do my own reloading for all my guns and when I started reloading for this one I ran into accuracy problems. I had a gunsmith who is a good friend of mine check the headspace and he said that it had to much so I sent back to t/c and told them about it and they checked and said it wasn't enough, so they supposebly fixed the problem so when I got it back I went back to the range it still wouldn't shoot a decent group for nothing. So, she went back to t/c again and this time they said that they recrowned the barrel that it was all out of wack. I haven't shot it since I have got it back only because the scope that I had on it I put it on my 308 for my up coming deer season. But when deer season is over I will either have another scope or I will do the changing thing again and I will shoot the heck out of it to see how it does. Ok, I recently picked up a .45 cal. mzl barrel for this same gun. Now it shoots great.
