I was down in Lewiston last night, I was going to go by the Spreer factory last night but did not make it.... so here is what i think I know... I would not count on them changing the 250 a great deal - to fill in that cavity the way the 300 is would really shorten that bullet up - so I do not see it happening...

These are my thoughts on those two bullets - for deer out the 150 yards the 250 will do everything that a normal human would want it to do. If you are a good shot and you understand your rifle and your load extend that to 200+.... yards

The 300 grain bullet would be an awesome bullet for thicker skinned animals and for deer beyond 50 yards and out 200+ yards. I think, for deer, under fifty unless you hit bone the bullet is going to go right on through - the animal will be dead he/she just might not know it for awhile.

just my 2 bits....

I really do like the Omega and I am still learning what it will do... Right now today if I had to go on a hunt that meant something I would still take on of the Remingtons... but I am sure the Omega's stock will rise with me, although after cleaning it last night I really see no advantage to it over the Rem...
