A decision was made yesterday by the DEC to accept a proposal for 3H and 3K regarding antler restrictions. Initially it covers 3A as well, but was dropped from it by the DEC due to biological, and support concerns.

As I understand it, there has to be a couple legal hoops to jump through, and then after that is done, a 45 day comment period will be conducted, which will determine whether or not the proposal enacts regulation changes.

Expect the comment period to begin in less than 60 days, most likely around the end of this month/start of April. If passed, this would be effective for the 2006 season.
