Thanks for your reply HB76. Yep, you're right, I'm 66yrs old. I hunted hogs with dogs for over 50yrs, but since I had by-passes in my legs in 2000, I can't run after the dogsas I use to, so I started standdeer hunting. Have always hunted hogs with side arm and deer with rifle.
I have no hunting buddies that use an X-bow and I have to ask guys at the counters for advice, but now I have this X-bow forum with guys that are in the know. I have never hunted with bow and arrow and don't know anything and very little terminology on the subject.
I will be going to Bass Pro in Orlando real soon and will try the re-curves and compounds to see which ones I can handle the best.After that I will start asking questions on arrows and broadheads.Thanks again to all.
